So I finally was able to update my computer. It’s been in dire need of being mad upgraded or just replaced so I finally did the latter. It’s been nice because I’ve been streaming a LOT more since my system doesn’t suck so much anymore.
But, lets get on to the important things, the GUTS!
- Case – NZXT H510
- PSU – SeaSonic M1211 620W
- Motherboard – ASUS TUF Gaming X570-Plus
- Processor – AMD Ryzen 5 3600X
- Memory – 32gb G.SKILL Aegis DDR4 3200
- Video – Gigabyte GeForce RTX 2060 Super
- OS Drive – Intel 660p Series M.2 2280 512gb PCIe NVMe 3.0 drive
- Steam Drive – Seagate BarraCuda 2TB Sata 6.0gb/s drive
I of course kept much of my old gear that was usable on the new system. Couple of hard drives, my mic and headphones. The motherboard has a small section of RGB, but other than that, I opted for no extra lighting in my case. I don’t really dig all the extra lighting for my own PC. Especially with all the streaming I do, and the amount of space in my computer room.
The new hardware has allowed me to move my old PC into a different portion of the room and is now running as a “server”. Most importantly, what the system is has been doing since my upgrade is assisting me in my streaming. It’s been working out super smooth. I’ve been able to stream at 1080p at 60fps since upgrading. Honestly, I could probably do it at those specs without the second computer but the new PC gets a bit warm when I’m gaming so better safe than sorry. I’m probably going to have to upgrade to water cooling for the processor at some point in the near future, especially with summer time coming.
I’ve been messing around with expanding the scope of my streaming by streaming into different platforms. I’ve been doing Facebook and Twitch since I started, but I’m now also doing YouTube, and Mixer.
Someday when I’m big and famous I’ll probably focus more on one particular platform but for now I’m just trying to get my name out there.
Anyways, if you haven’t checked out any of my streams, be sure to visit all the links!
